I bought multiple Keychron C1s with different switches to give as presents. I am in the middle of modifying them - lubing the switches and adding foam between the case and the PCB - so I figured I would do an apples-to-apples sound comparison video.
Top left: Red switches, out of the box
Top right: Red switches, modified
Bottom left: Brown switches, out of the box
Bottom right: Brown switches, modified
As you can hopefully hear from the video:
Both brown (tactile) switch keyboards are louder than both red (linear) switch keyboards.
The modded keyboards on the right have a deeper sound than the out-of-the-box keyboards, which have more of a clacky sound. Keyboard enthusiasts love that deeper "thocc" sound. The C1 is a budget keyboard and has a plastic case. Even after mods it won't have quite as satisfying of a thocc sound as you can get with more expensive keyboards.
What a video cannot show is the difference in the feel of the keyboards. The mods make a much bigger difference to the feel while typing than the sound.
